At American Pacific University and American Primary School, he taught Language Arts courses, focusing on preparing students for college by honing their academic skills in reading and writing. He employed a variety of innovative teaching methods such as work groups, cooperative and competitive learning, self-monitoring, and self-correction to help students gain a deeper understanding of the material.
